Welcome to HASG
The Houston AS/400` User Group, provides
AS/400 educational information and related presentations, to its members
on a monthly basis approximately 11 times per year.
- WHAT?
- Just what is this user group? It's an
independent organization (supported, but not sponsored, by IBM). We
have by-laws, a bank account, and officers
(volunteers from among the membership). We meet monthly except during
December, to discuss topics related to the AS/400. Some are
technical, some are management related. Recent meetings have centered
around Java, Internet, and WebSphere. IBM presents new product
information as soon as it is available. Presenters may be from IBM,
other vendors, or members of the group.
- WHO?
- Who can come to the meetings?
Anyone interested in the iSeries or AS/400. You do not have to
own an iSeries or AS/400 to become a member; users of other systems,
consultants, etc., are all welcome. (Our mailing list is not
distributed.)
- WHEN?
- When are the meetings held? The
meetings are usually held the second Thursday of the month. We try to
alternate between day & evening meetings. Due to speaker
schedules, holidays, and other conflicts, it is not always possible to
predict the meeting date.
There may be one or two presentations, with a very brief business
meeting stuck in there somewhere. Most important, there is
always plenty of time to mingle with other folks in the iSeries-AS/400
community.
- WHERE?
- Where are the meetings held? We like to
move around the Houston metropolitan area and have different
iSeries-AS/400 users host the meetings, so that no one always has a
long way to drive. However, the majority of the meetings are
held either at IBM's Riverway location or the Houston Arboretum &
Nature Center at 4501 Woodway Drive.
- HOW MUCH?
- How much does it cost to
attend? Annual Membership dues are $95.00 per indiviual.
The meeting fee is FREE for members or Non-members pay $20 for the
Meeting. A meal is included if an RSVP is given.
- HOW?
- How do I join? Click

group's president.
We hope to see you at the next meeting! |
